Who is Tarot Professionals?

Tarot Professionals was founded in 2008 by Marcus Katz, M.A., M.B.A., PhD Candidate (Western Esotericism, University of Exeter). He has been studying, reading and teaching Tarot for 30 years. His first Tarot book, Tarosophy, will be published in Summer 2010.

We have a global membership ranging from total newcomers to Tarot - who gain our flagship "Courtyard Course" lessons and video lessons - to the world's leading authors and teachers. Our aim is to support your Tarot interest and enthusiasm with our own playful but professional experience.

What are our core values?

We believe that Tarot is a a wisdom tool - Tarosophy - to engage life, not escape it. We teach methods of Tarot to divine your life, and make your way better through it - understanding more along the way.

We do not teach Tarot to pass the time nor distract you from real-world issues. We are passionate but not obsessed with our Tarot, we learn and teach it deeply but are open to new opinions. We are focused but friendly, supportive but challenging.

Our aim is to restore the spiritual dignity of Tarot.

Tarosophy University Press

The Tarosophy University Press will first publish (late 2010) a two-volume anthology, Tarot for the Soul & for the Future:

Vol. 1: Tarot Telling Predictive & Oracular Approaches and Methods of Tarot.

Vol 2: Tarot Talking Tarot Coaching, Counselling, Self-Development and Therapuetic Approaches and Methods.

Co-edited by Tero Hynenen and Marcus Katz, and with the support of many of the best-known names in Tarot, this will break wholly new ground in Tarot and continue to raise the bar for considered Tarot.

You can have your work seen here in the most highly-regarded Tarot venture in the world, so preparing you for breaking into publishing - rather than shooting yourself in the foot by 'self-publishing'. This anthology will be produced by the same team who bring you Tarosophist International, the worlds leading Tarot magazine, described by Mary K. Greer as leagues ahead of anything else and by Tero Hynenen as the most ambitious magazine since Manteia in the 1980s.
